🥩 Easy Sirloin Steak Tips Recipe

These Sirloin Steak Tips are seared to perfection and tossed in a buttery garlic and herb sauce. Quick, simple, and packed with flavor — perfect over rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1–2 inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp thyme (optional)
  • ¼ cup beef broth (or water)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. 1️⃣ Prep the Steak

Pat steak tips dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. 2️⃣ Sear the Steak

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak tips and cook 2–3 minutes per side, until browned but slightly pink inside (or desired doneness). Remove and set aside.
  3. 3️⃣ Make the Sauce

In the same skillet, add onion and garlic. Sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant. Add beef broth and thyme. Stir and let simmer 1–2 minutes.
  4. 4️⃣ Combine

Return steak tips to the skillet and toss with sauce. Add butter and let it melt, coating the steak in a rich, glossy sauce.
  5. 5️⃣ Serve

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over:
    Rice or quinoa
    Mashed potatoes
    Pasta or roasted vegetables

Notes

Tips for Juicy Steak Tips

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan — sear in batches if needed.
  • Let the meat rest 3–5 minutes after cooking to retain juices.
  • Adjust sauce thickness: add more broth for a thinner sauce, or simmer longer for a thicker.
